Vanadzor was known as the capital of camps during the Soviet period. At least five children’s camps operated here, the largest of which, “Artek”, was built in 1968.
The camp’s peak offers the most beautiful views of Vanadzor.
The area is interesting for urbex (urban exploration) enthusiasts.
